Portugal Airports
TAP plane photo by Luis Villa del Campo Flickr Creative CommonsPortugal's biggest airport is Lisbon International, in the capital city of Lisbon. It is here that most of the intercontinental flights to Portugal will arrive, although a few come into the second and third largest airports, Faro International in the south and Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport near Oporto in the northwest. There are a few more airports flying domestic services to aid travel around Portugal, and Santa Maria Airport links the lovely islands of the Azores with mainland Portugal. A lot of tourists also arrive overland from nearby Spanish cities. Information on visa requirements for Portugal can be found at http://www.globalvisas.com/worldwide_visas/portugal_visa.html.
