Mahon Airport
Menorca Airport (IATA: MAH) is the airport serving the Balearic island of Minorca in the Mediterranean Sea, near the coast of Spain. The airport, located 4.5 km (2.8 mi) southwest of Mahon, was opened on 24 March 1969 when all civilian services were transferred from the neighbouring San Luis Airport. It now has 16 gates linked by jetway to the main terminal building, and in the year to June 2006 it had handled 961,695 passengers and 12,870 movements. In total, the airport serves 35 cities and 36 airports in 4 countries (on scheduled flights). Receiving operations from 48 airlines (of which 20 are scheduled operators (at July 2006).
