Switzerland's biggest international airports are located in or near its cities of Geneva, Zurich, and Basel. The airport near Basel (Basel-Mulhouse EuroAirport) is quite unique as it is run by both France and Switzerland and also used by Germany, as it is near the borders of all 3 countries. It is located on french territory but Swiss users can reach it on an extraterritorial highway without formally entering France. Bern has an airport which flies to European destinations, and there are several smaller airports in various other swiss cities, as well as a frequent and punctual trains, making it simple to reach all corners of this small but stunning and unique nation. Those who are touring europe should take note: Switzerland is not part of the EU, so has a different currency, but it is a part of the Schengen agreement so travel into Switzerland is not impeded.
