Most will think of the famous Heathrow when they think of UK airports, the 4th busiest airport in the world as of 2010, and the busiest in Europe in terms of passenger movement. However there are 2 more large airports in London alone, and many other both international and domestic airports in other UK towns and cities- Edinburgh airport providing a gateway to Scotland, Cardiff to Wales, and Belfast to Northern Ireland. The United kingdom's reputation is somewhat quaint, but it's air travel and airport facilities are not! With over 250,000 international visitors per month, the UK is a popular tourist spot, full of hills, history, castles, and of course pubs! As many nationalities need a visa to enter the UK for any visit, and some need one even to transit through the UK, it is important to check http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk before travelling.
